Will CarLync work with my car?

If the original factory screen launches CarPlay when an iPhone is connected through the USB data port, it is likely compatible. BMW, Tesla, some Chinese EVs and vehicles without factory wired CarPlay are not supported.

Does it add CarPlay to a car that has none?

No. CarLync requires factory wired CarPlay and does not install CarPlay into an unsupported head unit.

Does it have built-in apps or Google Play?

No. This Q1A adapter provides wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, AirPlay and Miracast. Phone mirroring depends on your phone, and protected video apps may prevent playback.

Can I use screen mirroring while driving?

No. Screen mirroring is intended only while safely parked. Use CarPlay or Android Auto for the driving experience and always follow local road rules.

Do my original controls still work?

Where supported by the existing infotainment system, the factory touchscreen, microphone, voice assistant and steering-wheel controls remain available.

Why might a video app show a black screen?

Some services block screen mirroring for copyright protection. AirPlay or Miracast connectivity does not guarantee that protected video content will play.
